I believe Yoga is a process of self-discovery totally unique and personal to each one of us. I’d be honored and excited to help you discover Your Yoga, both on and off the mat.

Yoga Therapeutic Essentials
Gentle, powerful, meditative, corrective.
Vinyasa I
Accessible, Fun & Flowy.

I work with people of all experience levels, from Yogis who want the benefit of singular attention and support in deepening their practice to people trying it for the first time. I have helped many people who thought “I can’t do Yoga” discover the benefits (and fun!) of this ancient practice. I believe Yoga is a gateway to optimum health of mind, body and spirit, and there are many different modalities we can explore together.

I am also available for one-on-one or small group sessions.  See if one of these classes sounds interesting, or let’s chat about what is right for You.

Yoga Foundations

An introduction to the practice including core postures, breathing techniques and sequences. Suitable for all levels of physical fitness, Yoga Foundations is a safe-yet-powerful way to begin your practice. Classes include explanations of the poses, including their special qualities and benefits, engaging both body and intellect, and modifications will be taught to soften or increase the challenge.

Effort dependent on physical abilities - gentle to challenging.

Self Awakening Yoga Therapeutic Essentials

S.A.Y. is a deeply therapeutic practice of “movement inquiries” designed to release old injuries/patterns of holding, and nourish and revitalize our muscles, joints and fascia. Beginners, those with limited mobility and/or chronic pain/injury will benefit from the gentle, accessible approach, while advanced practitioners have the opportunity to take their yoga practice deeply inward, honing their intero- and proprio-ceptive practices and expanding range of motion. S.A.Y. was developed by my teacher, former Director of Kripalu, Don Stapleton PhD; S.A.Y. combines some traditional Yoga postures with repetitive playful movements, Feldenkrais physical therapy techniques, and somatic sensing exercises. S.A.Y. is suitable and beneficial for anyone who has ever experienced a physical or emotional trauma, injury, body strain etc., and especially for those who think “I can’t do yoga.”

Gentle to moderate effort.

Self Awakening Vinyasa

Combination of traditional Yoga postures, vinyasa and Self Awakening Yoga. This Fusion practice is designed to nourish, open and strengthen individual parts of the body (hips, shoulders, core, low back, etc.). After a foundational warm up of SAY Movement Inquiries — which activate our muscles and expand range of movement — we will go deep into new expressions of our Vinyasa practice. This multi-dimensional practice might include optional Pranayama (breathing exercises) and optional meditation. This class is appropriate for yogis of all ages and experience levels. We’ll each be able to find the healthy and challenging edge that is appropriate.

Moderate to Dynamic effort.

Ananda Flow

Let’s get blissed out!

This dynamic fusion class will combine the flowing movement of Vinyasa with the deep strengthening of Hatha postures and Pilates-inspired core work. Creative sequencing, upbeat music, focused breathing and a playful approach designed to strengthen and energize.

Dynamic to Challenging effort.
